All hotels have 3 things desired by its guests, location, cleanliness of property and quality of staffing. This hotel meets or exceeds customer expectations in all 3 areas. If you're looking for a mega resort with a gym and sauna and multiple other amenities stay at the Plaza down the street. If you want a small and exclusive Inn that makes you feel special that's right on the waterfront then this is the place for you.

Awesome boutique hotel that we've stayed at for years. On cannery row, of course, and we get a room with a view. Saw otters playing this morning in the water.

My husband and I stayed here for a night on a road trip down the CA coast. This is a fun location, great to walk around the shops and waterfront. The room was incredibly nice, very comfortable beds, too. This hotel doesn't feel like all the others... it has some character, which we loved. We loved the fireplace, and were suprised to find the sauna, haven't seen that in a hotel before... pretty cool. Here's a pic of the cute complementary breakfast they delivered to us in the morning. Would recommend staying here!

We had a great stay. Friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms, good water pressure and hot water, our room had a beautiful fire, beds were comfortable, breakfast brought to the room in the morning, and perfect location. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The in-room breakfast was a perfect way to start the day, and we loved having a sauna, fireplace, and balcony in our room—it made the stay feel extra special. The location was great—close to everything—but surprisingly quiet, which we really appreciated. Beach access was a cool bonus, too. The only downside was the valet service—it often took quite a while to get our car, and there didn’t seem to be any self-parking options nearby. That said, shoutout to the valets for being such hard workers—they were clearly doing their best. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d definitely come back!

This is a wonderful place to get away to, the valet guys were great, the bell hop also very helpful, we didn't ask much of housekeeping, but the one thing we asked for was taking care of quickly, the also have a FREE continental breakfast , we had a variety of food, including cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and pastry, with coffee, orange juice and milk. The front desk was busy, but we didn't notice ANY delay, if i had any issue, this is really a stretch to say issue, is that check-in could have been a bit more flexible, it's 4 o'clock, but they did take our bags AND put them away for is while we had a beautiful lunch , but that's not really a complaint, but when you're coming from far away, and tough can't judge how bad traffic may be, it would be nicer to have an option of early check- in, i was hungry so there were plenty of options to utilize some free time, like a said, scraping the bottom of the barrel to find one.

We first visited The Spindrift for our honeymoon in 2012. We hadn't been back in 14 years. While some thing have changed with the times, the hotel and the views are just as beautiful as they were. Definitely one of our most favorite places. Hopefully it doesn't take another 14 years to get back again!

Couldn’t ask for a better location if you’re wanting to see the aquarium, walk, and watch out your window at all the wild life. We stayed in a King Oceanfront room. Well worth the cost. We couldn’t have asked for a better view of the water to watch the otters and sea lions. Leaving the window one a crack means hearing the waves crash all day and night. No AC in the room wasn’t a problem for us even on warm days. The windows were open so we couldn’t enjoy the ocean breeze and sounds of sea life. The room was clean and well maintained. Coffee in the room. Soft sheets with lots of pillows. Fireplace makes an evening drink over looking the bay from your window day bed lookout fun and charming. Direct beach access from the hotel makes for an easy low key activity without having to travel. Snacks and wine available in the evening gave us just enough light refreshments to hold us over for a later evening dinner. Staff were very friendly and let us check in early since the room was cleaned. Valet parking was affordable and convenient especially given the busy area. 24 hr access and parked in the secure lot gives peace of kind. Go for a walk along the water front trail in either direction for a nice easy stroll. Lots of easy access to the shops and walking distance to the aquarium.
